3. Day of admission
You will enter the Hirslanden Klinik Beau-Site on the day before or on the day of the operation. Please bring all the documents you have received in advance with you. You can find out the exact time of admission the day before at the patient reception of the Hirslanden Klinik Beau-Site. In the afternoon of the day of admission, further examinations, such as a blood sample or an X-ray, may take place. The nursing team will inform you on admission. If you feel the need, we will briefly show you the intensive care unit.

Please let Prof. Z'graggen or someone from his team know if you still have any questions. They will be happy to answer them before the operation, but also during the daily checks and visits.
A visit from the nurse practitioner
You have already met your nurse practitioner in person. She visits you on the day of admission and is your central contact person for questions, uncertainties and concerns of any kind.
Anaesthesia
On the day of admission, the attending anaesthetist will visit you to discuss the anaesthesia you will be receiving.
Specialist medical care during the entire stay
During your entire stay in hospital, you will be cared for by a doctor of general internal medicine in addition to the surgical team. This specialist will take care of medical questions regarding your general condition.
First physiotherapeutic exercises
On the day of admission you will learn the first breathing exercises. You will learn these during a breathing instruction by the physiotherapist.
